Beyond 5 Percent

NATO members pledged to spend 5% of GDP on defense, but spending is a measure of effort, not results. This paper and its companion web application that I coded introduce a "substitution test" that instead measures whether allied investment actually reduces Europe's military dependence on the United States.

Better Spent

Better Spent is a calculator that shows you what your money could do for people in need if you spent it on charity instead of luxury goods. Pick a familiar item like a $50 water bottle, and it shows the real-world impact a donation of that same amount could have, such as delivering around 170 hot meals to children in Kenyan schools.

Social Impact Model - Contraceptives

This project is the first entry in a series of Social Impact Models designed to help businesses estimate the measurable value created by large charitable donations. This edition evaluates voluntary contraceptive-access programs by translating factors such as program reach, contraceptive use, and implementation quality into a range of estimated social and economic outcomes.

Mergers & Acquisitions - Accretive vs. Dilutive Model

I built this M&A accretion and dilution model for my university’s student investment fund to give our Special Situations team a consistent way to assess how an acquisition could affect the buyer’s shareholders. It combines EPS impact, financing structure, synergies, leverage, break-even analysis, payback periods, and sensitivity testing to determine whether a deal creates value without relying on overly optimistic assumptions.

Social Impact Model - Floods

This project is the latest entry in my Social Impact Model series, which helps companies estimate the value created by their charitable donations. It evaluates flood-prevention projects by comparing expected damages before and after implementation, then adjusts the projected benefits for uncertainty, project feasibility, attribution, maintenance costs, and other potential drawbacks.

Automation Completed

IntegrationIQ

This project is an application I built and later converted into a web app to examine the workforce impact of an M&A transaction by estimating departmental overlap, potential role consolidation, employee departures, integration costs, and retention risk. It turns those findings into a visual report that helps decision-makers quickly identify which parts of the combined organization require the most immediate attention during integration

Automaticity

Automaticity is a site I coded to help me memorize my multiplication tables, country locations, and national flags using fast, repetitive multiple-choice quizzes with instant feedback. I built it after discovering how effective that style of learning was for geography and realizing nothing similar existed for multiplication. I plan to expand the subject matter beyond just math and geography to the sciences.

Corporate ESG Risk-Scoring Model

I built this Excel-based ESG risk-scoring model for my student investment fund to give our investment teams a clearer, more consistent view of the environmental, social, and governance risks facing the companies they analyze.

Data Tool Completed

Oil Spill Investment Guidance - JSOSIF

I built this financial model for my university's student investment fund as a reference that our investment teams can turn to whenever a company they're covering or holding gets hit with an oil spill. It pulls real historical price data around past spills and measures how each stock reacted over the following year (the initial drop, the worst point, and whether and when it recovered) so the team has an empirical basis for reassessing their investment thesis.
